Scotland's players have not considered boycotting their World Cup qualifying matches against Israel, according to midfielder Christy Grimshaw, who emphasizes the need to adapt to the situation.
Scotland's women's football team is preparing for their World Cup qualifying encounters against Israel, with no discussions of a boycott, according to midfielder Christy Grimshaw. The matches will be held in Hungary, as UEFA has restricted games in Israel due to security concerns. Scotland's governing body confirmed that playing at a neutral venue aligns with Group B4's protocol, and not participating would result in forfeiting points. The Scottish squad, currently leading the group on goal difference, aims to secure six points from these fixtures. Grimshaw, returning to the national team after a knee injury, expressed her commitment to playing despite the unusual circumstances, stating, "We have to let the governing bodies make these decisions. Our job is to play football."
