England's Kane Matches Beckham's World Cup Record
June 19, 2026 · Gonzalo Torres
Harry Kane made history by becoming the second player to score for England in three different World Cups, matching David Beckham's record.
For Bayern superstar Harry Kane, the season can never be long enough — after all, there’s always some goalscoring record left to break. That was on display again tonight. Kane, who is England’s ultimate insurance policy, proved his worth with two goals in the match against Croatia, one from the penalty spot in the 12th minute and another with a header shortly before halftime in the 42nd minute.

With these goals, Kane made history by becoming only the second player ever to score for England at three different World Cups: 2018, 2022, and 2026. The only other player to achieve this feat was David Beckham, who scored in the tournaments of 1998, 2002, and 2006. It’s quite remarkable how vital the 32-year-old superstar striker remains, not just for Bayern Munich but also for the Three Lions.
